On 09/07/13 Deputies with the Massac County Sheriff's Department served a Search Warrant at a residence in the 8000 block of Unionville Rd. Deputies discovered an active Meth Lab and firearms. Arrested was 54 year old Michael Taylor of Brookport. Read The Blotter for details.

On 09/06/13 a report was made to the Massac County Sheriff's Department about a possible Child Abuse. Deputies discovered a 6 year old child with severe bruising. Upon completing the investigation, Deputies arrested the child's 26 year old step-father, Matthew Uhlry of Metropolis.

On 09/04/13 a Massac County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a vehicle in Metropolis. The driver of the vehicle, 38 year old Aaron Durham of Ullin, IL had a revoked driver's license. Durham was arrested and charged with Felony Driving Revoked. During the search of Durham's vehicle. The Deputy discovered over $21,000 cash hidden in the vehicle. The cash was seized pending a forfeiture hearing.
