Scotty P. Cooper On 06/23/15 a Deputy was on Interstate 24 searching for a stolen truck that was reported out of Herrin, IL. The Deputy located the stolen truck just before midnight. A traffic stop was made on the stolen truck. The driver of the vehicle, 43 year old Scotty P. Cooper of Carbondale, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Driving on a Revoked License. Cooper was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center pending bond. The Massac County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Illinois State Police and the Metropolis Police Department.
