The Illinois State Police, Southern Illinois Drug Task Force (ISP/SIDTF) announced the arrests of nine people for offenses related to illegal drug distribution in Massac County. Those Arrested were:
 Glenda A. Cozzie,44 Metropolis- Delivery of Methamphetamine  Blake A. Lynch, 24, Metropolis- Delivery of a Controlled Substance  Jeremy L. Lynch, 27, Metropolis- Possession of a Weapon by a Felon  Austin L. Cherry, 20, Metropolis- Delivery of a Controlled Substance |  Cody L. Durrett, 19, Metropolis-Delivery of Methamphetamine  Ray G. Lee, 56, Metropolis- Delivery of a Controlled Substance  Jeremy M. Goins, 27, Metropolis- Delivery of a Controlled Substance  Austin W. Litle, 19, Metropolis- Delivery of Methamphetamine |
Melissa M. Skinner, 47, Metropolis- Delivery of a Controlled Substance

The investigations leading to the arrests were conducted by ISP/SIDTF. The Ullin Office of the ISP/SIDTF is comprised of membership from the Massac County Sheriff's Office, The Massac County States Attorneys Office, Metropolis Police Department, Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Hardin County States Attorneys Office and the Illinois State Police. The cases are being prosecuted by Massac County States Attorney Patrick Windhorst.
The public is reminded that, under law, a defendant is presumed innocent of a charge until proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, to the satisfaction of a jury.
