Delman R. Elmore On 06/03/15 at around 7:00 P.M. Deputies were called to the 7700 block of Unionville Rd. after reports of shots fired. Deputies found the victim with wounds consistent with being beaten along with a bullet hole in the victim's clothing. It was reported that 37 year old Delman Elmore of the Unionville area had fired a firearm at the victim striking the victim's clothing but not the victim's body. It was also reported that Elmore beat the victim with the pistol. A short time later, a Deputy observed Elmore in his vehicle near Metropolis. Elmore was stopped and taken into custody. A bullet was recovered from the scene of the shooting. Elmore was charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Battery and lodged at the Massac County Detention Center. Bond is expected to be set on 06/05/15.
