On 06/27/18 a Deputy observed a vehicle being driven by 30 year old Nicholas Turvold. The Deputy was aware that Turvold had an outstanding warrant out of Johnson County. The warrant was issued for Home Invasion and Aggravated Battery. Turvold was stopped and taken into custody on the warrant. Turvold was released to the Johnson County Sheriff's office.
On 06/28/18 a Deputy attended a hearing at the Massac County Courthouse. The hearing was on a motion to reinstate bond on 35 year old Kevin Sommer of Metropolis. Sommer was out on bond for a charge of Robbery and Unlawful Restraint. At the conclusion of the hearing, bond was reinstated on Sommer in the amount of $15,000. The Deputy took Sommer into custody and lodged him at the Massac County Detention Center.
On 07/01/18 Deputies received an anonymous tip that 21 year old Chandler Miller of Metropolis was located in a residence in Joppa. Deputies were aware that Miller had an outstanding warrant out of Massac County for Failure to Appear on a charge of Burglary. Miller was also wanted out of Florida for Aggravated Assault. Deputies went to the residence in Joppa where they located Miller. Miller was taken into custody and lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.
On 07/02/18 Deputies escorted 26 year old Levi Evans from the Massac County Detention Center to the Massac County Courthouse for a court hearing. While at the courthouse, Evans was issued a warrant charging him with Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault. The charges stem from an incident filed by the Massac County Sheriff's Office following an incident that occurred on 06/17/18. It is alleged that on 06/17/18 Evans, while an inmate at the Massac County Detention Center, Evans struck a Corrections Officer in the face with his hand. Evans was taken back to the Massac County Detention Center and lodged.
