
At the January 2014 meeting of the Massac County Drug Awareness Coalition , Board President Natalie Quint presented a check for $1,000.00 to Massac County Sheriff Ted Holder and Dispatcher Abby Kaylor to help with the Sheriff Willie Bear program for the 2014 school year. During the 2013 school year the sheriffs office handed out over 700 bears to Pre-K, Kindergarden and 1st grade students in Massac Unit 1 and Joppa Maple Grove school Dist. Abbey Kaylor , who is in charge of the program talks to the students about “choices” and uses the Massac County Sheriffs Office K-9 Balak and his handler Deputy Josh Wiley to help with the program.
